Meet Melissa
The Mindful Muse
Throughout my journey on this incredible planet we call home, just like everyone reading this, I've dealt with challenging personalities, navigated tough situations, and endured unpleasant life experiences — served up to me on a silver platter.
Interestingly, it often felt therapeutic to sit around and focus on the "issues" at hand, frequently exhausting myself and others with words. In reality, all it did was make it really easy to become the thing I hated the most — a chronic complainer with a negative nellie mindset.

However, along the way, I discovered the secret to overcoming life's obstacles to live an awesome life comes to each of us wrapped in a three-pound package called the brain; inside our brains are things called thoughts. Thoughts come to us in different forms such as music, ideas, and pictures. And guess what? We get to choose which thoughts we want to focus on – That means we can put our attention on the thoughts and ideas we want to expand in our experience. It was a profound “gem” moment in time when I grasped the power of managing my thought patterns – it created a transformational chain of events that catapulted me to places I never dreamed of all because I chose to focus only on thoughts that served me best.
Rhonda Byrne said, “Whatever you think about, you bring about.” Think about that.

Jewels For A Better Life Workshop
The renowned poet Maya Angelou once said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” It starts with self-awareness and a willingness to set our ego aside for the greater good. Self-awareness can lead to changes that will help us become the best version of ourselves. And as Maya Angelou taught, we can do better when we know better. When we focus on being and commit to operating in a “best version” state, we naturally experience greater success in work and life.
